Eduardo “El Pollo” Del Corral, Jr. Eduardo Del Corral, Jr., 68, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 in Laredo, Texas. Eduardo served this country in the Vietnam War. He went on to become a United States Postal Service mail carrier for 35 years, leading up to his retirement. He will be most remembered for the love he had for his family, his witty sense of humor and his generosity to anyone who encountered him. Eduardo courageously fought pancreatic cancer for one year before ultimately entering into the gates of Heaven to be with our Lord and Savior. He is preceded in death by his father, Eduardo Del Corral; brother, Joe Garcia; sister, Amanda Mills. Mr. Del Corral is survived by his wife, Melva Castilla del Corral; mother, Elva Martinez; children, Eduardo (Marlene) Del Corral, III, Eduardo Enrique Del Corral, Rogelio Del Corral, Gilberto (Marcela) Del Corral, Francisco “Frankie” Del Corral; grandchildren, Michelle Del Corral, Bryan Garcia, Eduardo "Bondoc" Del Corral, Regi Del Corral, Eduardo Enrique “Boy” Del Corral, Jr., Justin Arizpe, Gilberto Del Corral, Sebastian Del Corral, Chelsea Del Corral, Carolina Del Corral; sisters, Luz Maria (Raul) Cano, Martha Walker, Rosario (Victor) Orduña, Sylvia (Joey) De La Garza. Also surviving are numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Military Honors will be provided by Fort Sam Houston Honor Guard and American Legion Post 59 Honor Guard at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
