Edward G. Shinn

Edward G. Shinn, 61, has gone to be with the Lord in his heavenly kingdom and now joins his parents and brothers in heaven. Edward was a beloved son, brother, and uncle who with his kind eyes and gentle demeanor touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Edward was born on August 13, 1963 in Del Rio, Texas, the son of the late Bobby and Mary Little Shinn, who preceded him in death. Edward is also preceded in death by his brothers, Richard L. Shinn, and Gerald L. Shinn.

He is survived by his siblings: David (Melissa Salinas) Shinn, Veronica (Mike) Connor, Philip L. (Carrie) Shinn; nieces and nephews: Philip Michael (Brittani) Connor, Patrick, Matthew, and Thomas Connor, Amanda, Meagan, and Richard Shinn, as well as cousins and extended family.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Hillside Funerals and Cremations from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, where a rosary will be recited at 10:30 am.

Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 10:50 am to St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David and Richard Shinn; Mike, Philip Michael, Patrick, Matthew and Thomas Connor; and Philip Shinn.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Amanda and Meagan Shinn.
