Federico Martinez

The Lord has called Mr. Federico "Fred" Martinez, 74, into his heavenly reward on December 18, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas. Fred was born on March 2, 1950, the son of the late Leon Tobias and Consuelo Martinez. He proudly served the United States in the US Army, having been honorably discharged in 1974.

He is also preceded in death brothers, Victor Martinez & Leon Martinez.

Surviving him are his beloved wife: Maria G. Martinez; their daughter & son: Cynthia Espinoza (Pedro) & Eduardo Martinez (Stephanie); his daughter and son: Yvonne Martinez & Alberto Martinez; grandchildren: Christian Ovalle, Isabella Espinoza, Kalel Herrera, Logan Martinez, as well as other grandchildren. Further surviving him are his siblings: Juan Martinez (+Miros), Teresa Garcia, Joe Martinez (Sandra), & Irma Martinez; sister in law: Maria Martinez, and some great number nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Condolences will be received on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Liturgy of the Word and Rosary will be offered for the repose of his soul at 7 pm, led by Rev. Deacon Gerardo Morales.

A Military Tribute will be held at 6 pm at the funeral home. Taps, Flag Presentation and the 21 Gun Salute will be performed by the Laredo Veterans Honor Guard.

A cremation will be held at a later date. All services will conclude at 9 pm in the chapel.
