Glen Landin, 62, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend was called by his heavenly Father on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Laredo, Texas. Glen was an amazing person, loved by everyone who knew him. Our brother had a heart of gold. He loved to barbeque, and spend time with his family and friends, and listen to good music. Glen was a retired correctional officer with the Webb County Sherriff’s Department. During his tenure there, Glen was a member of the REACT Team. Glen also enjoyed cooking in the many events of the Webb County Sherriff’s Department. Our beloved brother and uncle will be greatly missed Mr. Landin is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar H. and Angelina Landin; sister, Cynthia Landin. He is survived by his siblings, Melissa (Rafael) Chavez, Odette (Luis M.) Ramos, Lisette Landin, and Michael Landin; nieces and nephews, Lisa M. (Larry) Linn, Luis M. (Emma) Ramos Jr., Jennifer D. Guerra, Briana K. Velasquez, Rafael A. Chavez Jr., Manuel H. Chavez, Claudia A. Chavez; grand-nieces and nephews, Amber N. Linn, Lawrence H. Linn III, Joshua W. Linn, Matthew T. Linn, Alexis A. Guerra, Luis R. Ramos, Hudson Chavez, Alfonso Parra III, and Maximiliano I. Ramos. Chapel service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Chaplain Luis “Bird” Rodriguez. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11: 00 a.m. Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
