Guadalupe H. Rodman, 88, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 7, 2020, in Laredo, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Guadalupe H. Rodman was born on December 08, 1931 in Degollado, Jalisco, Mexico. She loved arts and crafts. One of her favorite hobbies was to crochet blankets for her grandchildren. She was a very active woman in the community in her younger years, as she was a member of the Women’s City Club, American Cancer Society, and a volunteer at Mercy Hospital. Mrs. Rodman is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Herminia Hernandez; loving husband, Alfred J. Rodman; and siblings, Victoria Johnston, Herminia Montoya, Jose de la Luz Hernandez, Felipe Hernandez, and Manuel Hernandez. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Sergio (Rosa) Rojas, Adolfo (Tila) Rojas, Luis Felipe Rodman, Guillermo Javier (Rosie) Rodman, Jose Antonio Rodman, and Gabriel (Myrna) Rodman. Mrs. Rodman is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Rafael Deliz and his staff for the loving care he provided to our mother over the past couple of years. A rosary will be recited on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Mother Cabrini Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
