Irene F. Lucio, 80, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 10, 2020, in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Lucio is preceded in death by her loving husband, Daniel Lucio; daughter, Dora Alicia (Enrique “Henry”) Mendoza; parents, Jose and Tomasita Flores; siblings, Jose Mario Flores and Esteban Flores.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Arturo (Bernadette) Salazar Jr., Zenaida “Sandy” Garza, Lucy (Gerardo “Jerry”) Lucio Martinez, Priscilla (Sergio) Garay, and Claudia Lucio; siblings, Luciano (Bertha+) Flores, Maria de la Luz (Carlos) Quintanilla; sister-in-law, Rosa Flores. Mrs. Lucio is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great -great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited on Monday, September 14, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to St. Joseph Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.
Interment will follow the family plot at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the family kindly asks all those wishing to express their condolences in person to maintain social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. In accordance with the city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited. All visitors must wear face coverings while inside building. Hand sanitizer is provided upon entry.
