Javier Barrera, 60, was called by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to join him in his heavenly kingdom, Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
Mr. Barrera is preceded in death by his loving parents, Teofilo and Petra Barrera; uncle, Jesus Gonzalez, and aunts, Valentina Gonzalez and Agueda Trejo.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Jose Luis (Diana) Barrera and Dora Eliza (Carlos Blas+) Arce; nieces and nephews, Jose Luis (Yzelda) Barrera, Jr., Michelle (Manuel) Gonzalez, Michael Barrera, Carlos Blas Arce, Jr., Jessica Arce (Rick), and Juan Alberto Arce. He is also survived by numerous friends and other family members.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to all staff and caregivers at Border Region of Laredo for the compassion, care, and attention given to our beloved, Javier “Panchito” Barrera.
The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M.
A mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2219 Galveston St. Laredo, Texas 78043. All guests wanting to attend are asked to please meet at the church.
Services will conclude at church.
