Jesus Esiquio Palacios, Jr.

February 5, 1967 — October 2, 2024

Laredo, Texas

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Ps. 91

Mr. Jesus Esiquio Palacios Jr., 57, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on October 2, 2024, in Laredo, Texas.

Jesus E. Palacios Jr. was born on Feburary 5th, 1967, in Laredo, Texas. He spent his teenage years and early 20’s in Louisiana with his step father Michael Marshall, mother Marta Flores Perez, and his siblings Carlos Palacios, Ruben Palacios, Kelly Marshall, and Michelle Marshall Young. After graduating from high school in Louisiana, he opened his own business On Time Lift Service in Laredo. He managed to stay self-employed his whole career.

Jesus fell in love in the year of 1992 and later married on March 19, 1993 with the lovely Veronica Cecilia Palacios. They had their first child Jesus Palacios in 1995 following Veronica A. Palacios in 1999, and finally Andres Palacios in 2001. His memory is now cherished by his wife and children.

Jesus Palacios, affectionately known to friends and family as Jessie or Porito, was a remarkable man who built a life filled with love, laughter, and hard work alongside his devoted wife. He crafted not only a thriving business but also a warm and welcoming home that served as a sanctuary for his family. His legacy is beautifully woven into the lives of his children and grandchildren, embodying the kindness and generosity he shared with everyone he met.

A true embodiment of compassion, Jesus was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, reflecting the big heart that defined him. His passion for the great outdoors, began at a young age hunting and fishing in Louisiana, along side his father and brothers. He loved the piney woods of the area and loved fishing Toledo Bend Lake. He passed on his love for the outdoors to his own children, taking them hunting at the ranch and fishing at Casa Blanca and Falcon lake.

Beyond his outdoor pursuits, Jesus loved to watch movies and shows and enjoyed sharing spoilers to his children. He was a master griller and a playful prankster, bringing joy and laughter to family gatherings. Many evenings found him surrounded by his beloved grandchildren, savoring a glass of cold milk and a sweet pastry, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime.

With a background steeped in sports, particularly basketball, Jesus inspired his children to embrace athleticism and teamwork, instilling in them the values of determination and camaraderie. His life was a testament to the power of love and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is preceded in death by his father: Jesus Esiquio Palacios Sr.; Step Father from a young age, Michael Marshall.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 31 years of marriage, Veronica Cecilia Palacios; children: Jesus Esiquio Palacios III, Veronica Alexandra Palacios, Andres Palacios; grandchildren: Jennifer Vanessa Mendoza; Sophia Nicole Palacios, Emma Liliana Palacios, Avery Rose Palacios, Andres Palacios Jr., Jade Lopez, Halen Lopez; mother: Marta Flores Perez; siblings: Carlos Palacios, Kelly Marshall, Michelle Marshall Young, and Ruben Palacios, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
