Jose Rene Herrera

Jose Rene Herrera, 68, was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ in his Heavenly Kingdom on December 3, 2024, in Laredo, Texas, having been lovingly surrounded by his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Dolores Paez Herrera; brother: Jose Gonzalez.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his children: Joanna (Francisco Luna) Herrera, Jolynn Herrera, Jose Carlos (Sonia) Herrera, Jose Rene (Lizette) Herrera; grandchildren: Lorenzo Rafael and Frankyjo Luna, Carlos, Deandra, Alex, Jacob, Allison Herrera; siblings: Rene Herrera, Irene (Francisco) and Ana, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will gather to celebrate his life on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremation Service, where a Rosary will be recited for the repose of his soul at 6 pm, by Deacon Gerardo Morales.

A funeral procession will depart the chapel at 8:45 am on Monday, December 9, 2024, to St. John Neumann Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am by Father Salvador Pedroza.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
