Jose "Joe" Juan Martinez

Mr. Jose "Joe" Juan Martinez, 67, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at his residence in Laredo, Texas. Jose Juan was born in Saginaw, Michigan on May 19, 1956, having been a resident of Laredo for 40 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Enrique and Virigina G. Martinez; sister: Celia Martinez; grandchild: Gerardo "J-Do" Dominguez Jr; son-in-law: Gilberto Rodriguez.

Left behind to cherish his memory are the mother of his children: Mia Corona, children: Erica (Gerardo) Dominguez; Regina (Juan) Ballesteros, Stephanie Rodriguez; grandchildren: Natali (Efrain Garcia) Ballesteros, Mia Ballesteros, Sofia Ballesteros, Gilberto Rodriguez Jr., Neela Dominguez, Samantha Marie Dominguez, Makayla Rodriguez, Derek Rodriguez; great-grandchildren: Humberto Escobedo, Amerie Fuentes; siblings: Antonio (Aurelia) Martinez, Enrique (Lucy) Martinez, Elma Roach, Carlos (Catherine) Martinez; and Rosie Alvarez as well as a great number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends he met along the way.

The family will gather to celebrate his life on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations; 310 W. Hillside Rd; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.

Cremation will follow at a later date and interment of his ashes will be held in Saginaw, Michigan, where he will be laid to rest alongside his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer plants.
