Jose Oscar "J O" Alvarez

Jose Oscar “J O” Alvarez, Jr., 66, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at home surrounded by loved ones.

Mr. Alvarez is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Oscar Alvarez, Sr. and Raquel Salinas.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cristina G. Alvarez; children, Tanya Alvarez (Taha Khorram), Kendra Alvarez (Ismael Reyes Retana), Jose Oscar “J O” Alvarez III (Tania Gonzalez); grandchildren, Sahtya Khorram, Jose Oscar Alvarez IV, Amalia Matilda Reyes Retana; siblings, Gretel A. (Roberto) Garza Gongora, Sergio (Loly+) Alvarez, Eduardo (Ana Isabel) Alvarez; and mother-in-law, Amalia Villarreal de Gonzalez. Mr. Alvarez is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home chapel.

Services will conclude at the chapel.

***In lieu of flowers Mrs. Alvarez would prefer to have trees or plants donated in honor of J O’s memory to be delivered to Hillside Funeral Home. The Family will have a private ceremony to plant the trees and plants at a later date.
