Judith M. Resendez, 89, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 14, 2021, surrounded by loved ones at her home.
She graduated from St. Augustine High School, was a devout Catholic, a successful, self-employed business woman and ranch owner.
She enjoyed her time at the ranch, traveling, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Resendez is preceded in death by her parents, Ramiro Martinez and Victoria Chapa; husband, Martin Resendez, Sr., and children, Dr. Elsa Maxwell and Ramiro Resendez.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Judith (Andrew) Davis, Alma Haverkamp, Martin (Sandra) Resendez Jr., Laura (Dr. Carlos M.) Llanes, Griselda Vanderford, Sandy R. Wenk, Rick (Susie) Resendez, Diana (Fidel) Hernandez, and Jerry (Leticia) Resendez; and 19 grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Agustin Catholic Cathedral. A mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.
Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
The family wishes to give their utmost gratitude to Dr. Carlos M. Llanes, Siloe Home Health Nurses and her home caregivers Teresa Delgado and Diana Martinez.
