Lucia Ornelas

December 13, 1931 — May 19, 2024

Laredo, Texas

Mrs. Lucia "Lucy" Ornelas, went to her eternal peace on Sunday, May 19, 2024, on the Feast of Pentecost. They Holy Spirit has guided her journey home to the Heavenly Father. Lucy, as she was most commonly and affectionately known, had worked as a Supervisor for Despachos del Norte for many years and was a life-long Laredoan.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Francisco Ornelas and Juanita Sanchez; siblings: Catalina Messner, Cleotilde Ornelas, Manuel Ornelas, Eugenio Ornelas, Eduardo Ornelas.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her siblings: Ramiro (Linda) Ornelas, Irene (Benito) Hurtado, Graciela (Joe) Treviño, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

A private cremation and interment will be held at a later date.
