Marco G. Castillo

Marco G. Castillo, 41, entered the warm embrace of our heavenly Father and Blessed Mother on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

A child at heart, Marco was the baby of the family—even though he wasn’t the youngest of his siblings.  This is likely why he was so good with children, and his true joy and passion came from his own children who meant more to him than life itself.  Throughout his illness, his children were his strength and motivation.    

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Juventino and Celia Castillo and his maternal grandparents, Rodolfo and Emma García. 

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Joyce, who was with him until the very end, and his children, Marco J., Julia Carolina, Natalie Irene, and honorary son, Juan Alberto Rodríguez; parents, Juan and Lilia Castillo; siblings Juan J. Castillo, Roberto M. (Doreen) Castillo, Melissa M. (Matthew) Pici, and honorary brother, Raul Guerra; parents-in-law, Jose Luis and Juanita Gómez; sisters-in-law Priscilla Gómez, Jackie Gómez (Carlos López), Tracy Gómez (Carlos Mercado), and Gina Gómez (Jose Diaz); and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Services are as follows:

• Tuesday, February 1, 7:00 p.m. – Rosary at Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

• Wednesday, February 2, 9:00 a.m. – Holy Mass at St. John Neuman Catholic Church with interment following at the Catholic Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at the Church.  

Pallbearers will be Marco J. Castillo, Jose Díaz, Robert Hale, Carlos López, Carlos Mercado, Jose L. Mercado, Juan Rodríguez, and Matthew Pici.
