Margarita Candido

Margarita Candido, 94, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Laredo, Texas. She lived most of her life with her sister, Simona Cavazos. She was married for several years to her husband, Fernando Valdez, until the day of his death many years ago. She worked at various stores in down town Laredo including Melrose from which she finally retired several years ago. Ms. Candido is preceded in death by her parents Juan Candido and Isabel Candido Flores; sister, Clara Candido; brother, Valente Candido; niece, Maria de Lourdes Rodriguez. She is survived by her siblings Simona C. Cavazos, Pedro (Elva) Candido, and Raymundo (Maria) Candido; nephews and nieces, Juan A. (Anita) Cavazos, Ricardo (Maria Guadalupe) Cavazos, Maria del Rosario Candido, Pedro Candido Jr, Juan Manuel Candido, Valente Candido Jr., Gerardo Candido, Raymundo Candido Jr., Mario A. Candido, Isabel Chavira, Monica Contreras, Angelica Vargas, and Julieta Rangel.- Ms. Candido is also survived by, other relatives and friends ;including grandnephew and niece, Veronica Davis and Nicolas A. Cavazos. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
