Mrs. Maria Elena Garcia, 90, entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2024, in Laredo, Texas at the age of 90. She was born on May 3, 1933 in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, and had been a resident of Laredo for over 40 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Maximiliano Lima; son: Ezequiel Rafael Aguirre; parents: Hilario and Gala Garcia; siblings: Hilario Garcia, Rafael Garcia, Amparo Garcia, Alejandra Garcia, Esperanza Garcia, Luis Garcia, Raymundo Garcia.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Virginia Lima, Blanca Estela (Rene) Saucedo, Veronica (Tyrone) Wallace; grandchildren: Perla (Victor) Carbajal, Jessika (Jesus) Castillo, Blanca Rene Saucedo, Gala (Juan Salinas) Gonzalez, Cesar (Stephanie Rodriguez) Lima, Alberto (Clarissa Flores) Gonzalez, Pedro Gonzalez, Randy Wallace, Exodus Wallace, Tyrain Wallace, Tyan Wallace; numerous great-grandchildren; brother: Roman Garcia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Rosary will be offered for the repose of her soul at 7 pm.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. The procession will depart at 8:30 am from the funeral chapel.

Services will conclude after the Mass to proceed to a cremation at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: Rene Saucedo, Cesar Lima, Alberto Gonzalez Jr., Pedro Gonzalez, Randy Wallace, Orlando Cabrera, Mateo Cabrera, and Tyan Wallace.
