Maria Trinidad Salinas

María Trinidad “Trine” Salinas, 92, joined the Lord in Heaven on Thursday, March 3, 2022. She was born on January 1st, 1930, and resided in Laredo, Texas most of her life.
Trine is survived by her sons, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The daughter of migrant workers through the Great Depression, grew up knowing the importance of hard work and faith in God. As a young woman she married, mothered seven children, and later was widowed at the age of 34.
Trine dedicated herself to her family, her faith, and her career as a Special Education Instructor. She spent her days reading thriller, suspense, and romance novels as well as solving crossword puzzles and watching Days of our Lives. There was never a dull moment with Mama as she was lovingly called, who was full of stories, laughter, words of wisdom and always a blessing as you left her home.
Funeral services will be on Monday, March 7th at Hillside Funeral Home. Her viewing will begin at 7:00 am followed by a Rosary at 8:00 am. The family will continue the proceedings to Holy Family Church for a Holy Mass at 9:00 am to follow a procession to Calvary Catholic Cemetery for final interment next to her late husband.
