On October 15, 2023, Nora Alicia Barrera was called to her eternal rest in Laredo, Texas. She was born into this world on April 3, 1952, in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the daughter of Cesar and Nora Montemayor, whom she now joins.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her spouse of 49 years of marriage: Mr. Daniel Prado Barrera; children: Erica Barrera, Daniel Barrera Jr. (Helen Do); siblings: Juan Jose Montemayor (Olivia), Cesar Montemayor (Gloria), Sylvia M. Segovia (Jesus), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will gather to celebrate her life on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 4 to 6 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Funeral Liturgy will take place at 6 pm.

All services will conclude at the end of the visitation and a cremation will follow at a later date.
