Norma Fernandez

The Lord has called Norma Fernandez, 81, into his loving presence on January 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family by her side. She was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamps, Mexico, on October 19, 1943.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Placido and Velia Fernandez; daughter: Leticia Ramirez.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband: Oscar Velasquez; children: Elizabeth Batten, Carlos (Rosa) Garcia, Cynthia Garcia; grandchildren: Diego Treviño, Achiles Treviño, Daniella Garcia, Roger Ramirez, Juan Carlos Ramirez, Alberto Javier Garcia, Ana Lisa Garcia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will celebrate her life on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 7 to 10 am at Hillside Funerals and Cremations.

A Prayer Service and Rosary will commence at 9:15 am in the chapel.

Procession will depart the chapel at 10:30 am.

Committal service will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Carlos Garcia, Diego Treviño, Achiles Treviño, Roger Ramirez, Juan Carlos Ramirez, and Felipe Fernandez.
