Oralia G. Martinez

Oralia G. Martinez, 75, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2019, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Martinez is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years Javier B. Martinez; her parents, Jose Gilberto and Anita Garcia; sister, Maria del Refugio Moore. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her children, Javier B. Martinez Jr (Ernestina), Magda R. Mendieta (Daniel), Victor H. Martinez (Christine), Marco A. Martinez (Elida Patricia), and Carlos E. Martinez (Linda); siblings, Ana Maria Benavides, Gilberto Garcia, Griselda Flores, Dinora Garcia, Sylvia Garcia, and Teodoro Garcia; grandchildren, Javier B. Martinez III, Alyssa M. Mendieta, Daniel J. Mendieta Jr, Oscar S. Mendieta, Leah E. Martinez, Victor H. Martinez II, Alexia P. Martinez, Anahi A. Martinez, Caleb S. Martinez, and Joshua N. Martinez. Also surviving are numerous nephews, nieces and extended family. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home chapel.  A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church.  Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Veterans Section in the City of Laredo Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Javier B. Martinez Jr., Victor H. Martinez, Marco A. Martinez, Carlos E. Martinez, Daniel J. Mendieta, and Teodoro Garcia. Extended special gratitude goes to Honorary pallbearers, Gilberto Sanchez, Nathan Hales, MD, and Diego Menchaca, MD.
