Orlando Zepeda

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Orlando Zepeda on Monday February 24, 2025. Orlando was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to many. He graduated from Martin High School and the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Mechanical engineering. Having vast knowledge and experience in the Oil & Gas, he was instrumental implementing the Oil & Gas program at LC. He assisted many students in building careers in the industry. He was a Gardner, enjoyed working on cars especially his 1957 Chevrolet. He also had a passion for dancing together with his wife Claudia they thrilled the audience at the WCC Dancing with the Stars and took first place. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo & Elena Guajardo Zepeda and cousins, Joe & Richard Acosta. 

He is survived by his wife, Claudia, daughters: Christina, Alejandra Maroto (Anthony) Alexander, grandchildren: Max, Luna, Samson & Nicholas, sons: Damian & Jonathon Zepeda, sisters: Aurora (Alberto) Guardiola, Oralia (Francisco) Martínez, Lupita Zepeda, niece’s & nephews: Abigail (Mark) Boyett, her children: Natalia Elena & Ryan Parker, Annette (Eddie) Guerrero, her children: Caleb Eduardo & Mila Aurora, Frank (Tracy) & C J (Ana) Martinez, aunt & uncle: Amelia Y. Cantu, German (Tamara) Guajardo as well as numerous other relatives and friends. 

The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 8am - 10am at Hillside Funeral Home. 

Rite of committal and interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
