Reynaldo Rene Bernal

Reynaldo Rene Bernal, 59, entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in Laredo, Texas. 

As he was affectionately called, Binny was a great Martin H.S. athlete who was a baseball standout. His favorite recreation was umpiring with the City of Laredo. He was employed at Intercon Carriers for many wonderful years. Binny lived for his out-of-town adventures with his Amor, Jo Ann. And let's not forget his love of dancing, especially conjunto! He was always the life of the party. Binny forever cherished his moments with his children, whether near or far, who were his life. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a man of faith with a generous heart. He will be missed but never forgotten. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Margarito Bernal and Genoveva A. Morales, and step-dad, Tomas Mendoza. 

Reynaldo is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann; children: Reynaldo, Lorenzo, Andrea, Amanda, and Adriana; brothers: Margarito Bernal, Jr., Juan (Natalia), Hector (Sylvia), Heraclio (Gracie), and Robert Mendoza; step-children: Kristen (Joshua) Garcia, and Jose J. Gonzalez; brother-in-law; Dennis (Alma) Garcia, sisters-in-law; Della Garcia, and Angela (Jose Luis) De Leon; mother-in-law, Alma H. (Lorenzo+) Garcia; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, as well as an abundant of special family and friends. 

A visitation will take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Hillside Funerals and Cremations. A Chapel Service will commence at 11:00 am. A procession will depart the funeral home at 12:00 pm.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Margarito Bernal Jr., Juan Bernal, Hector Bernal, Heraclio Bernal, Hector Bernal Jr., Daniel Bernal, David Bernal, and Jorge Bernal.
