Ricardo Perez

Ricardo Perez, 61, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 30, 2021, in Laredo, Texas.

In his retirement, Mr. Perez enjoyed watching the Food Network, gathering recipes, and perfecting numerous recipes by adding his “Mexican” flair and taste. Throughout his life had a love of drawing, was very outspoken, and was known for his sense of humor.

Mr. Perez is preceded in death by his father, Martin Perez; siblings, Maria Angelita Valverde, Jose M. Perez; and grandparents, Jose and Margarita Valverde.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Guadalupe Valverde; children, Janette Perez, Margarita Perez, Monica Perez, Selena Perez; and cousin, Juanita Cardenas. Mr. Perez is also survived by his grandson, Joseph Michael Vasquez, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Cremation will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Marissa Gonzalez for her care of his medical issues and numerous home health workers that provided assistance to him.
