Richard A. Camacho ,RN

Richard A. Camacho, 69, was called by the lord on Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Camacho a Vietnam veteran was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a graduate from Martin High School class of 1969 and a Registered Nurse graduate on May 14, 1976. His last duty of assignment was USS MC Kean DD-748, from August 5, 1969 to May 5, 1975. He was a devoted catholic and loved his God. He retired as Registered Nurse as a Surgical Supervisor on September 2015. Mr. Camacho was a very caring and loving person. He cared and saved many lives during his 41 years of nursing. His favorite pass time was at his ranch. Mr. Camacho is preceded in death by his parents, Nicolas Camacho and Mildred Lamb Camacho; son, Richard A. Camacho Jr. ,RN, who followed his father’s love of nursing. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dolores Camacho; children, Robert A. (Brenda) Camacho, Raymond A. (Maribel) Camacho, and Elizabeth (Joe) Moreno; grandchildren, Richard A. Camacho III, Jacob Camacho, Justin Camacho, Nicolaus Camacho, Savannah Camacho, Jasmine Camacho, Audrey Camacho, Raymond “Andy” Camacho Jr., Melody Ann Camacho, Ryan Austin Camacho, Jose Moreno IV, and Abigail Marie Moreno; sisters, Lucinda S. Costilla, Mary Ann (Al) Rivera, and Elizabeth Camacho. Mr. Camacho is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A rosary will be officiated by Deacon Joe Longoria on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to St.Patrick Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Fort Sam Houston Guard and American Legion Post 59 Honor Guard.
