Roberto Canizales, 82, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 8, 2021, in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Canizales is preceded in death by his loving parents, Florencio Canizales and Esperanza Paz; siblings, Rogelio Canizales, Raul Canizales, Juanita Ramirez, and Elvira Ortiz; and brother in law, Valeriano Arriaga.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Francisca Canizales, Ricardo (Altagracia) Canizales, Roberto (Lila) Canizales Jr., Jose Gabriel (Anna) Canizales, Juan Antonio Canizales, and Orlando Canizales; siblings, Florencio (Estela) Canizales Jr., Esperanza Arriaga, Amparo Canizales, Jose Angel Canizales, Eva (Joey Hayes) Holguin, and Dr. Sara Edna (Ricardo) Campos; sister-in-law, Laura Canizales and brothers-in-law, Jaime Ramirez and Gil Ortiz. Mr. Canizales is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church.
Interment will follow to the family plot at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Due to ongoing COVID-19, the family kindly asks all those wishing to express condolences in person to wear face masks and maintain social distancing orders. In accordance with the city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited.
