Roberto C Gonzalez Jr.

Roberto C. Gonzalez, 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in Laredo, Texas.

Roberto, known as Beto to his family and close friends, was a beloved husband to Diana for 54 years. He was in a leadership role upon his retirement from Union Pacific Railroad and served in the Army National Guard at a young age. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and with family. Years with his grandchildren were a source of great joy, and he was blessed to have met his great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Gonzalez and Elvira Gonzalez; brother Antonio C. Gonzalez.

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his loving wife, Diana H. Gonzalez; daughters, Yvonne (Wade) Barton, Clarissa “Claire” (Roberto “Bobby”) Paez; grandchildren, Adam (Emilie) Barton, Luke Barton, and Christina Paez; great-grandchildren, Evelynn Moore, Ronin Barton, and Vera Barton; siblings, Jesus (Hermelinda) Gonzalez, Maria de los Angeles (Jose) Benavides; sister-in-law, Sylvia Gonzalez. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is thankful for all the thoughts and prayers they have received.
