Roberto Mora
October 16, 1934 - November 20, 2023
Roberto Mora, a dedicated Air Force veteran, loving husband, father, grandfather, and devout Christian, passed away on November 20, 2023, at the age of 89 from health complications. Born on October 16, 1932, Roberto touched the lives of many through his faith, and genuine love for his family and friends.
Roberto proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he had the opportunity to travel to various places, broadening his perspective on life and instilling in him a sense of duty and patriotism. Following his military service, he embraced the role of a loving father to his three daughters, Selina Mora, Gloria Torres (Martin Torres), and Monica Mora. Roberto's devotion to his daughters was evident, by providing love, guidance, and unwavering support throughout their lives.
In 2021, Roberto experienced the profound loss of his beloved wife, Celia Mora. Though his heart carried the weight of this loss, Roberto's spirit remained resilient, finding solace in the presence of his cherished grandchildren, Alexis Villalobos (Garza) and Jordan Reid Torres, his 6 great grandchildren, Naveah Torres, Isaiah Torres, Adan Torres, Haylen Torres, Audra Garza and Jaxsen Garza. Their bond brought him immeasurable joy and happiness, creating precious memories that will forever be treasured.
Beyond his roles as a veteran, father, and grandfather and great-grandfather, Roberto was deeply devoted to his faith. For many years, he dedicated his time and energy to preaching in the Texas prison system, sharing the message of hope, forgiveness, and redemption. Roberto's commitment to his Christian values and his desire to positively impact the lives of others made him an inspiration to those around him.
Roberto's simplicity was reflected in his attire, often seen donning his signature boots and cowboy hat. But it was his love for spending quality time with his family and friends that truly defined him. Whether it was gathering around the dinner table or enjoying a meal at his favorite restaurant, Roberto cherished these moments.
Roberto Mora will forever be remembered as a man of integrity, kindness, and faith. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared. While we mourn the loss of a remarkable individual, we find solace in the memories we hold dear. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that his impact on our lives will never fade.
