Roberto Palacios

On September 6, 2024, Roberto Palacios entered the arms of our Heavenly Father, having been surrounded by his family, here in his hometown of Laredo. Roberto was born on February 19, 1952, in Laredo, Texas, the son of Imeldo C. Palacios + and Isabel R. Palacios. Roberto took over the family business, Los Jacales Restaurant in 1974. It has been a staple in Laredo and continues to this day, successfully operated by Roberto until his death. 

He is preceded in death by his father: Imeldo C. Palacios Sr.; brother: Antonio Imeldo Palacios; brother's in law: Humberto Rodriguez, Manuel Ramon Zuniga.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved mother: Isabel R. Palacios; siblings: Imeldo Cayetano Palacios Jr. (Margarita), Josie Piña (Humberto Sr.), Yolanda Zuniga, Jacqueline Rodriguez, Olga Santos, David Palacios (Irma), Samuel Palacios, Eduardo Palacios; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 pm, led by Rev. Deacon Roger Martinez.

Funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 8:30 am on Saturday, September 14, 2024, to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Luis Palacios, Rolando Hernandez Jr., Eduardo Palacios, Samuel Palacios, Marco Zuniga, Humberto Pina Jr., Humberto Rodriguez Jr., Eduardo Palacios Jr. , Antonio Imeldo Palacios Jr. , and Timoteo Palacios.
