Mr. Roberto "Bobby" Rodriguez, 79, entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2023 in Laredo, Texas. Bobby was born and raised in Laredo, Texas and attended local schools in Laredo, Lamar Bruni Elementary, Christen Middle School, Martin High School, where he was a member of the ROTC. Another of his memorable service acts was attending Our Lady of Guadalupe Parochial School and serving as an Altar Server during school masses. Roberto enjoyed spending his time playing golf as well as participating in the JW Nixon Band Parent Association and proudly served as President of the Band Parents Association. He alongside his wife founded one local business that they ran together at Garfield Party Supply. Together they served at Nora Sanchez State Farm Insurance Agency until they retired. Bobby was also an active member of the Rio Grande Little League for many years. We will forever hold his memory in our heart and will never forget all the good deeds, care and love that he gave to us. May his memory forever be a blessing.

He is preceded in death by parents: Amado and Dora Rodriguez; sister: Maria Guadalupe Cavazos.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 37 years of marriage: Mrs. Nora A. Sanchez Rodriguez; children: Roberto A. (Maria I.) Rodriguez, Marcos (Araceli) Rodriguez, Melissa (Jose Gabriel) Larranaga; grandchildren: Justin Rodriguez, Samantha Rodriguez, Marcos Gustavo Rodriguez, Anali Rodriguez, Jose Gabriel Larranaga Jr., David Ryan Larranaga; siblings: Alicela Sandoval, Carmen Alicia (Candelario) Escamilla; brother: Jose Argelio (Celia A. Gonzalez) Rodriguez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.

Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 8:00 am on Thursday, October 19, 2023 to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 8:30 am.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
