Rodolfo Vega Jr., 64, entered peacefully into eternal rest on July 30, 2020, in Laredo, Texas. Rodolfo was born on March 2, 1956, in Laredo, Texas. In 1978, he joined the United States Army, serving his country proudly until 1982. In 1984, he began his federal law enforcement career as a United States Border Patrol Agent, eventually transitioning to the United States Customs Service as an inspector before his retirement. Rodolfo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and role model to many. He enjoyed time with his family and drinking coffee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rodolfo Vega Peredo and Antonia A. Jimenez Vega. Mr. Vega is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Blanca E. Vega; his two children, Rudy (Michelle) Vega and Blanca Vega. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Sophia, Sebastian, Aydan, and Landon, as well as his siblings; Laura D. Vega, Edna Vega, Gina A. (Reynaldo) Garza, Araceli Vega, Irma G. (Cesar) Quiroga, Gilberto (Angelica) Vega, Martha V. (Javier) Jaramillo, Ricardo (Cynthia) Vega, Anabel V. (Antonio) Gutierrez, and Susanna V. (Joey) Torres, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and family members. A celebration of life mass will be held for the family at a later date.
