Salvador Martinez

Salvador Martinez, 93, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 4, 2020, in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his loving wife, Amalia Saenz Martinez; parents, Roman and Hermodea Martinez; siblings, Hugo Martinez, Roman (Olga) Martinez, Amando (Frances) Martinez, Alicia (Leopoldo) Martinez Lopez, and Armandina (Arnoldo) M. Martinez.

Left to cherish his memory are his two children, Rene Martinez and Dolores Martinez; siblings, Mauro (Viola) Martinez, and Elva (Ralph) David. Mr. Martinez is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Winder Vasquez and nurses and staff at Regent Care Center.

A rosary will be recited Sunday, September 6, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 7, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. All wishing to attend are asked to please meet at the church.

Interment will follow to the family plot of the New Hebbronville Cemetery.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the family kindly asks all those wishing to express their condolences in person to maintain social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. In accordance with the city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited. All visitors must wear face coverings while inside building. Hand sanitizer is provided upon entry.
