Samuel Abel Mendez, Jr, 37, entered eternal rest on November 4, 2021, in Laredo, Texas.

A father, son, brother, and friend gone too soon. You will forever live in our hearts.

Mr. Mendez is preceded in death by his father, Samuel Abel Mendez, Sr.

He is survived by his sons, Abel Samuel Mendez, David Angel Mendez, Orion Louis Mendez, stepdaughter Itzabella Martinez, his children’s mother Maria Teresa Martinez; mother, Carol Ann O’Bryant; siblings, Gilbert Jerry Mendez, Zachary Guerra,  and Christopher Guerra; uncles and aunts, Jerry O’Bryant, Darlene O’Bryant (Oscar Guerra), Bobby O’Bryant, Gilberto (Dora) Mendez, Orphalinda (Daniel) Bazan, and Elizabeth (Roberto) Tijerina. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A prayer service will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.   

Services for Mr. Samuel Abel Mendez, Jr. will conclude at the chapel, Sunday, November 7, 2021.
