Tom Pennington Addison

Born in Laredo, Texas, Tom Pennington Addison, beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.

Tom proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine then joined the business founded by his father in 1928, Laredo Paint and Decorating and expanding its operations in Laredo and San Antonio, a legacy continued by his children, who proudly operate the store as the third generation of Addison’s to do so. Tom was also a proud Rotarian and truly believed in the Rotary mission of service to others, integrity and goodwill. His legacy will be continued proudly by his children, grandchildren and great-grandson.

Tom is predeceased by his parents, Emmet L. and Ruby Addison, the love of his life, Velia del Carmen Addison, his grandson Ricardo A. Ramirez, and his brother Steve Addison.

Tom is survived by his children, Tommy P. Addison, Dianne E. Addison, Denise M. Addison (Enrique Elizondo +), John C. Addison (Judy Wawroski Addison); his grandchildren Christina Ramirez Rosales (Jerome), Denise Elizondo, Enrique Elizondo, Jacqueline Addison, great-grandson, Ricardo A. Ramirez-Rosales, sister Barbara Johnson, brother Emmet L. Addison and many more nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.

Visitation for Tom will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 9 am until 10 am at Christ Church Episcopal, 2320 Lane St; Laredo, Texas 78043.

Funeral Liturgy will commence at 10 am immediately following the visitation with Rev. Father Paul Frey.

Military Honors and Flag Presentation will be held in the church courtyard following the service.

Procession will continue to the Laredo City Cemetery, where Tom will be laid to rest in the Addison Family Plot.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in Tom’s memory to the Laredo Little Theatre or Christ Church Episcopal.
