Vicenta “Vicky” Gomez

Mrs. Vicenta “Vicky” Gomez, 67, entered into God's Heavenly Garden on Friday, September 22, 2023, in Laredo, Texas. Vicenta was a proud and devoted member of San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, having been a member of the Cursillo movement since the late 80's, always being involved in her parish and in her community, always giving back. She has now been welcomed into that heavenly banquet, De Colores!

She is preceded in death by her father: Ruben Garcia; mother: Maria Isabel Garcia Cruz; brother: Rodolfo Garcia Sr.; sons: Aaron Gomez, Ernesto Heck-Gomez; husband: Jose Luis Gomez Sr.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Nancy Gomez-Torres (Thomas Jr.), Jose Luis Gomez Jr. (Dana), Roel Gomez, Celene Gomez-Leza (Alberto Jr.), Hugo Gomez, Christopher Gomez (Rocio); grandchildren: Brittney Gomez, Alondra Salinas, Jaemi Gomez, Rilei Gomez, Phoenix Gomez, Derek Torres, Delyza Gomez, Aubrey Leza, Aven Leza, Christopher Gomez Jr., Stacy Ramon; as well as numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and beloved friends and brothers and sisters in Christ in the Cursillo Movement.

The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 5 to 9 pm at Hillside Funerals & Cremations, where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 pm.

Funeral services will commence at 9:15 am on Thursday, September 28, 2023, departing the funeral chapel to San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Thomas Torres Jr., Alberto Leza Jr., Christopher Gomez, Jose Luis Gomez, Jaemi Gomez, and Rilei  Gomez
